A multiplexer is a piece of video surveillance equipment with multiple video inputs and one video output. A multiplexer is used to take many security cameras and present them on one video monitor. A multiplexer typically has a number of buttons on the front panel to allow the user to select which one (or which combination of) security cameras to look at. Although the same function can be achieved with a
